BasQ-IBM Road to Practitioner Program (R2P) - 2nd edition
Noviembre 24, 2025BasQ launches the second edition of the Road to Practitioner Program (R2P) in collaboration with IBM
The R2P Program is a theoretical–practical training initiative designed to help participants deepen and strengthen their knowledge of Quantum Computing and Qiskit programming. It combines conceptual learning with hands-on exercises and the development of a final Capstone Project.
Attached you will find a document with detailed information about this new edition. Below is a summary of the main features::
Structure and duration:
- Duration: approximately 3 months, from early February 2026 to the end of April 2026. The in-person kick-off activation session will take place on February 3rd in Bilbao (Torre Iberdrola).
- Structure: two phases, six modules in total, integrating theoretical sessions, practical exercises and a final Capstone Project.
- Format: mainly online, with two in-person sessions (kick-off and closing).
- Language: English.
Participation requirements:
Unlike the first edition, which welcomed participants from all backgrounds without any specific technical requirements or prior experience in Quantum Computing, this new round introduces some admission requirements, as successful participation requires a minimum level of technical background.
Basically, applicants must demonstrate basic proficiency in Python programming and foundational theoretical knowledge in quantum computing.

Target participants:
This edition is open to university students and professors, researchers and industry professionals from across the BasQ ecosystem.
Important: only applicants affiliated with universities, research centers or companies that are part of the BasQ ecosystem are eligible to participate in this program.
