BasQ Takes Part in the Pan-European Quantum Education Summit 2025 in Barcelona

December 11, 2025

Basque Quantum participated in the first Pan-European Quantum Education Summit, held from 3 to 5 December 2025 at the CosmoCaixa Science Museum in Barcelona. The event gathered more than 300 participants from 34 countries across five continents, bringing together leading experts, researchers, educators, policy-makers and industry representatives to discuss the future of quantum education.

During the summit, Ainara González, representing BasQ, took part in the panel titled “Catalan & Spanish Initiatives, International Educational Policies & Strategies, National Collaboration on Quantum Education, Regional & International Collaboration.” Her intervention highlighted BasQ’s commitment to strengthening the quantum talent pipeline in the Basque Country and contributing to broader European efforts in quantum education.

The summit featured a rich programme of keynote lectures, invited and contributed talks, round-table discussions, hands-on workshops and networking sessions. The sessions addressed the full spectrum of quantum education: from the design of foundational curricula to advanced training, workforce development, public engagement and global accessibility to quantum learning. The event was designed to support learners at all levels — from beginners entering the field to researchers advancing the frontiers of quantum science.

BasQ’s participation reflects its strategic mission to integrate education, research and innovation as pillars of a robust quantum ecosystem in the Basque Country, and to align these efforts with European and global initiatives.
