Benjamín Tirado Heras
Centro de Física de Materiales/Materials Physics Center (CFM/MPC)
Benjamin Tirado holds a degree in Physics from the University of Seville and a Master’s degree in Theoretical Physics and Mathematics from the University of Granada. He is currently a PhD researcher at the Materials Physics Center (CSIC-UPV/EHU), where he works on quantum computing for the simulation of open quantum systems on near-term quantum processing units.
His research focuses on the design of hardware-aware quantum circuits that implement dissipative many-body dynamics. A central aspect of his work is adapting algorithms to the constraints of real hardware. To achieve this, Benjamin integrates classical control-flow techniques, tensor-network methods and machine learning within his quantum computing workflows.
