Global Data Quantum

I’m Álvaro Nodar. After earning my PhD in nanophotonics at CFM (UPV/EHU - CSIC), I joined Global Data Quantum as a Technical Lead, where I focus on turning quantum computing research into practical applications. At Global Data Quantum, we work with companies exploring quantum solutions, supporting them from identifying promising use cases to developing functional prototypes.

I’ve contributed to projects in optimization and quantum machine learning that combine classical and quantum algorithms, with a particular interest in hybrid approaches that integrate HPC to maximize quantum resource performance.

I’m especially driven by bridging the gap between research and industry, helping to translate cutting-edge developments into industrial impact. Additionally, I’m an active member of the BasQ community as a BasQ Advocate, participating in initiatives that foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence within the Basque quantum ecosystem.
