Access to the Infraestructure
Research Centres, Technology Centres and Universities
Type of access available
Organisations that have signed the Collaboration Agreement with Ikerbasque for the development of the BasQ ecosystem can request access to BasQ-IBM quantum systems through an agile process, aimed at research projects as well as teaching or training activities (e.g. university courses, workshops or activities with students).
Previous requirements
You must have signed the Collaboration Agreement with Ikerbasque (if you have not, please indicate so in the e-mail and we will guide you).
Step 1 - Submit a request
Send an e-mail to: support-qc@dipc.org including:
- Name and brief description of the project or activity (research, teaching, training, etc.).
- Where possible, an estimate of quantum resources required (e.g., number of qubits, circuit depth, type of algorithm).
- Collaborators or participants to be added to the same instance (e.g. students or colleagues).
If your project specifically requires the ibm_basquecountry QPU (System Two) or another specific backend, please indicate so in the e-mail in order to enable appropriate access.
Step 2 - Invitation and activation
If the request is approved, you will receive an invitation from IBM Cloud to join an Ikerbasque Hub instance. You must accept it to complete the registration.
Support and contact
Queries regarding access: support-qc@dipc.org
If you need quantum computing support, please visit IBM Quantum Documentation Support page. You'll find both self-service resources and dedicated support options for IBM Quantum Platform and Qiskit. For technical issues, job errors, Qiskit guidance, or other quantum computing questions, please open a Cloud Case in the IBM Cloud® Support Center and select "Qiskit Runtime" as the topic. Before submitting the case, make sure the Ikerbasque IBM Cloud account is selected in the account switcher.
